Nestled on the Ayrshire coastline, Trump Turnberry offers a distinctive experience that combines both tradition and modernity under its new owner.
A venue for the Open Championship, Trump Turnberry is currently undergoing a large redesign on the famous Ailsa course along with the refurbishment of all the hotel bedrooms.
Once the restoration is complete in early 2016, Trump Turnberry is set to be one of the best golf resorts in the UK. We’re holding our breath!
Known for hosting 4 Open Championships the Ailsa Course at Trump Turnberry is certainly a jewel in the crown as far as golfing heritage is concerned. Probably the most famous of Open Championships here involved Tom Watson and Jack Nicklaus where Watson came out on top and became known as the “duel in the sun”
The course has recently been purchased by the Trump Golf Corporation and has recently undergone a multi million pound refurbishment project of the hotel and clubhouse but also the Ailsa Course to make it a sterner test for future Open Championships.
With holes being lengthened, relocation of tees, greens and bunkering you can be sure that this is a great test of golf for every guest.
